Where Our Classes Are Held

UK Sniffer Dogs classes take place in the beautiful grounds of the historic Chenies Manor.

Each course runs for 6 weeks, with classes lasting 1 hour.

Who the Classes Are For

• Any age, any breed

• Dogs and owners who want to try scent detection for fun, enrichment, or working purposes

• Suitable for complete beginners as well as those with prior scent training experience

• Any dog with a nose can join in!

What You and Your Dog Will Learn

Our aim is to get more owners and dogs enjoying the world of scent detection. Whether your goal is fun, sport, or to build valuable skills for assistance work, we provide the structure you need for indication training and search plans.

During the course, we’ll cover:

• Teaching a freeze indication

• Line-up searches (pots & pipes)

• Searches on chairs and tables

• Developing search skills inspired by real working sniffer dogs

On completion of the programme, you’ll have the opportunity to take a UK Sniffer Dogs Trial to gain your Bronze Level Certificate.

What to Bring With You on the Day

• Red Kong (medium or large)

• Your dog’s favourite rewards (food or toy)

• Harness, lead, and flat collar

• Suitable rest area (car or crate)

• And of course, your dog with a nose!
